  • 6 slices French bread
  • 1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. mustard
  • dash of salt

Directions

    Grease 8-inch square pan.

    Layer bread, cheese, bread and cheese.

    Beat eggs slightly; add milk, mustard and salt.

    Pour over bread and cheese.

    Allow to refrigerate overnight.

    Bake 1 hour at 350°, placing pan in larger pan with 1-inch of water in it.

    Bake until puffed and dry on top.
