- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. All-Bran
- 3/4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 3 Tbsp. melted margarine
- 1 c. walnuts
- 3/4 c. figs, cut up
- 1/2 c. currants
Directions

1Place in medium bowl the first 5 ingredients. Pour buttermilk, eggs and margarine over dry ingredients.

2Beat very lightly on low to mix.

3Fold in nuts, figs and currants briefly with rubber spatula.

4Pour into greased 8 x 8-inch pan.

5Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

6These freeze well and are loaded with fiber.
