Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 3 slices white bread, cubed (or enough to cover bottom of dish)
  • 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 5 to 6 slices bacon, cooked

    Saute sausage.

    Drain.

    Beat eggs with milk, salt and mustard. Layer the bread cubes, sausage and cheese in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Pour egg mixture on top.

    Refrigerate overnight.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

    Place bacon across top during the last 5 minutes.

    Serves 6 to 8.
