Ingredients

  • 16 slices bread, crusts removed
  • 1 lb. bacon, cooked
  • 8 slices cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire
  • 3 c. milk
  • dash of Tabasco
  • 1 stick butter
  • crushed cornflakes

Directions

    Put 8 pieces of bread in 9 x 13-inch buttered baking dish. Cover with bacon then cheese slices.

    Cover with other bread. Beat eggs, salt, pepper, mustard, onion, green pepper, Worcestershire sauce, milk and Tabasco together.

    Pour over bread.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    In the morning, melt butter and pour over top.

    Cover with crushed cornflakes.

    Bake 1 hour at 350°.

    Let stand 10 minutes.
