Ingredients

  • 8 slices cubed bread
  • 3/4 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 lb. link sausages
  • 1 can water chestnuts
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/4 c. milk
  • 3/4 tsp. dry mustard

Directions

    Cook sausages and let cool.

    Place cubed bread in bottom of greased 3-quart oblong Pyrex dish or 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.

    Beat eggs, milk and dry mustard.

    Slice sausages into bite size pieces and put on top of bread.

    Slice water chestnuts and add to top of sausages.

    Top this with grated cheese.

    Pour egg mixture over all.

    Refrigerate overnight.
