  • 1 1/2 pounds pork sausage
  • 3 to 4 bread slices, cubed
  • 1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 9 large eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

    Cook sausage in a skillet, stirring until it crumbles and is no longer pink; drain well.

    Arrange bread cubes in bottom of a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Top with sausage and cheese.

    Whisk together eggs and next 4 ingredients; pour evenly over cheese. Cover and chill 8 hours.

    Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until set.
