  • 12 slices White Bread
  • 3/4 pounds Shaved Ham
  • 4 ounces, weight Canned Mushrooms
  • 1-3/4 cup Mild Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 6 Beaten Eggs
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Dry Mustard
  • 1 cup Dry Bread Crumbs
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter

Directions

    Grease a 9x13 glass dish.

    Cut crust from the 12 slices of bread. Line the dish with the bread.

    Layer the 6 slices of ham, add the cheese and mushrooms.

    Cover with the remaining bread.

    In a large bowl, beat eggs, milk, salt & dry mustard. Pour over the casserole and top with the bread crumbs. Dot with the butter and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight.

    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
