Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bulk sausage
  • buttered bread (crust removed)
  • 10 eggs or egg substitute to equal 10 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 4 oz. can green chillies, undrained
  • 12 to 16 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Cook sausage; crumble and drain well.

    Line a 9 x 13-inch glass casserole dish with buttered bread, buttered side down. Layer sausage over bread.

    In blender, beat 10 eggs and 1/2 cup sour cream.

    Pour over sausage and bread.

    In blender chop green chillies.

    Pour over eggs (or spoon).

    Top with Cheddar cheese. Cover with plastic wrap and leave in refrigerator overnight.

    Cook at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until puffed and browned.
