Ingredients

  • 10 slices bread, cubed (no crusts)
  • 2 lb. hot or mild sausage (can use 1 lb. of each)
  • 1/2 c. grated Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. half and half cream
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms

Directions

    Cover bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch casserole dish with bread cubes.

    Cover with browned sausage which has been drained well. Mix remaining ingredients well and pour over bread and sausage.
