Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. sausage
- 9 slices white bread, crust removed
- 1 stick butter
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 8 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Directions

1Cook sausage over low heat until done and a crumbly consistency; drain and set aside.

2Spread butter on bread and cut into cubes.

3Place bread in a 13 x 9-inch dish.

4Sprinkle sausage on bread and cheese on top of sausage.

5Combine remaining ingredients.

6Beat well and pour over cheese.

7Chill 8 hours or overnight.

8Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes until brown.

9Serves 8 to 10.
