Ingredients
- 8 slices bread, cubed
- 1 1/2 lb. fried sausage
- 3/4 lb. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 3/4 tsp. mustard (dry)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 can mushroom soup
Directions

1Put half of bread into bottom of 9 x 13-inch casserole, then add half of cheese and half of sausage.

2Complete this procedure with the other half of ingredients.

3Beat together eggs, milk, mustard and salt.

4Pour this mixture over bread mixture in casserole.

5Cover and refrigerate overnight.

6Mix 1 can mushroom soup with small amount of milk and spread on top of casserole. Canned mushrooms can be added.

7Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.
