- 8 slices bread, cubed
- 12 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 lb. sausage, cooked and drained
- 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
Directions

1In bowl, beat eggs, butter and milk together. In a 9 x 13-inch buttered casserole dish, layer bread cubes, half of cheese, sausage and mushrooms. Pour egg mixture over all and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Bake, covered, in 350° oven for 45 minutes. For glass dish, bake at 325°. Serves 8 to 10 people.
