Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hot sausage
  • 8 oz. can refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 c. grated Mozzarella or Cheddar cheese (I use 1 c. each)
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Preheat oven to 425°.

    Crumble sausage into a skillet and cook until brown. Drain well.

    Line bottom of a buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish with crescent rolls, pressing edges together to seal. Sprinkle with sausage and cheese.

    Beat remaining ingredients together well and pour over sausage and cheese.

    Bake at 425° for 20 to 30 minutes or until set.

    Let stand about 10 minutes, then cut into squares and serve.

    Serves 6 to 8.
