Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 4 slices bread, cut in cubes
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard
  • 1 1/2 to 2 c. grated medium sharp cheese
  • 2 c. milk
  • dash of salt and pepper

Directions

    Cook sausage and drain.

    Mix eggs, milk, salt, pepper and mustard together.

    Arrange sausage, bread and cheese in layers. Repeat layers ending with cheese on top.

    Pour liquid mixture over layers and let stand overnight.

    This can be frozen.

    May be cooked in a 9 x 13-inch pan or two smaller casserole dishes at 350° for 45 minutes.
