- 6 slices white bread
- butter
- 1 lb. bulk pork sausage
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Longhorn cheese (6 oz.)
- 6 beaten eggs
- 2 c. half and half
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Remove crusts and spread butter or margarine to taste, then place bread in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

2Brown sausage to crumble, drain well, then spoon over bread. Sprinkle cheese over sausage.

3Mix eggs, milk and salt, then pour over cheese. Cover casserole and chill overnight.

4Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking.

5Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45 minutes or until set.

6Makes 8 servings.
