Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. dark molasses
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. wheat germ or oatmeal
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Directions

    Cream butter or margarine until fluffy.

    Add molasses and sugar; stir in eggs.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Spread mixture in 13 x 9-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for approximately 30 minutes. Cool in pan and then cut into squares.
