Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. sugar

Directions

    In mixing bowl, cream 1/3 cup butter with 1/2 cup sugar; beat in egg.

    Sift flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg together.

    Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients into butter and sugar mixture.

    Fill greased muffin cups 3/4 full of batter.

    Bake in preheated 350° oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden.

    In small bowl, mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.

    Immediately after baking, roll donuts in melted butter and then in sugar/cinnamon mixture.
