Breakfast Egg Dish

  • 1 lb. sausage or bacon
  • 7 to 8 slices Pepperidge Farm bread, crusts removed
  • 1 block Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. regular cream
  • 8 eggs

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Brown meat; drain.

    Butter both sides of bread; use to line a 10 x 15-inch baking dish.

    Top with cheese.

    Beat eggs; add milk and cream.

    Mix well; pour over bread and cheese.

    Sprinkle with 3/4 teaspoon salt and a little pepper. Top with meat.

    Thyme or parsley may be sprinkled over top.

    Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
