  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 to 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. melted shortening

Directions

    In mixing bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add egg, milk and melted shortening. Mix well.

    Spoon into greased muffin pans. Bake at 425° for 20 minutes. Makes 1 dozen muffins.
