- 1 34 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
Directions

1Sift together flour,sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt into large bowl.

2Combine buttermilk, egg and butter; add to flour mixture and stir just until all ingredients are moistened.

3Fill greased medium muffin tins.

4Bake in 400f oven for 20-25 minutes.

5Serve warm with butter or preserves.
