  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 23 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 12 lb butter
  • 1 12 cups sugar
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon

    Preheat oven to 350F.

    Grease or line with paper 12 muffin cups.

    In large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg, set aside.

    In separate large bowl, cream together sugar and shortening.

    Add eggs to creamed mixture and mix again.

    Alternate adding 1/3 of flour mixture and 1/3 of milk to creamed mixture, beating well after each addition.

    Fill muffin cups 2/3 full.

    Bake 20-25 min, until golden.
