Broccoli Baked Turkey

Ingredients

  • 1 head broccoli
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. white flour
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can chicken broth or 2 c. bouillon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 c. diced, cooked turkey

Directions

    Trim stems and leaves off broccoli and separate flowerets. Steam flowerets until just tender.

    Set aside.

    In medium saucepan, melt margarine.

    Remove from heat and stir flour into margarine to make a smooth paste.

    Return to low heat and blend in chicken broth until sauce is thick and smooth.

    Stir salt and mushrooms into sauce.

    Preheat oven to 375°.

    Grease a shallow pan with margarine.

    Place broccoli in pan.

    Cover with turkey, then sauce.

    Bake, uncovered, 15 to 25 minutes.
