Broccoli Casserole

  • 1/4 c. onion, minced
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 8 oz. pasteurized cheese or Cheez Whiz
  • 21 oz. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • bread crumbs
  • butter

Directions

    Saute onion in 1/4 cup butter.

    Stir in flour.

    Add water and cook until thick.

    Blend in cheese; add broccoli.

    Fold in eggs. Pour into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.

    Cover with buttered bread crumbs (enough to top the casserole).

    Bake 1 hour at 325°.

    Serve immediately.
