Broccoli Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. chopped onions
  • 6 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
  • 1 (8 oz.) jar pasteurized process cheese spread or 3/4 c. cubed American cheese
  • 3 c. cooked and drained broccoli
  • 3 eggs, well beaten

Directions

    Saute the onions in 4 tablespoons margarine until soft.

    Add the flour and water.

    Cook on low heat until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.

    Blend in the cheese.

    Remove from heat. Combine the sauce, broccoli and eggs.

    Turn into a lightly greased 2-quart casserole dish.

    Cover the top with cracker crumbs and dot with remaining margarine.

    Bake at 325° for 30 minutes.
