Broccoli Casserole

  • 2 pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 stick margarine
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can drained mushroom bits
  • 1 pkg. slivered almonds
  • 1 roll garlic flavored cheese
  • buttered bread crumbs
  • small amount pimentos (for color; optional)

Directions

    Cook broccoli as label directs; drain well and set aside. Saute onion in margarine.

    Add cream of mushroom soup, drained mushroom bits, slivered almonds, garlic flavored cheese and the pimento.

    After cheese melts, add broccoli and mix well.

    Place in buttered casserole dish; sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs.

    Bake at 325° until lightly browned.
