- 2 lb. fresh broccoli
- 2 (12 1/2 oz.) cans chicken broth
- 3 c. milk
- 1 c. chopped cooked ham
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. light cream
- 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, grated
- 1/4 c. butter
Directions

1Cook broccoli, covered, in 1 can chicken broth in large kettle for about 7 minutes or until just tender.

2Remove broccoli from broth; cool and chop coarsely.

3Add remaining chicken broth, milk, ham, salt and pepper to broth in kettle.

4Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

5Stir in remaining ingredients and chopped broccoli; heat just to serving temperature.

6Yields about 2 1/2 quarts.
