Broccoli-Onion Delight

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh broccoli
  • 2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/2 c. shredded Velveeta cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • dash of pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 c. bread crumbs

Directions

    Boil cut up broccoli and onions until tender (don't overcook). Melt 1/8 cup butter and blend in flour, salt and dash of pepper. Add milk and cook, stirring constantly until thick and bubbly. Reduce heat and blend in cream cheese.

    Place broccoli and onions into casserole dish and pour sauce over it.

    Sprinkle cheese on top.

    Mix remaining butter with bread crumbs and spread on top. Cook at 350° for 30 minutes.
