Ingredients
- 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen cut broccoli
- 2 c. frozen or canned whole small onions
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. (1 oz.) grated Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Cook broccoli according to package directions.

2Drain.

3Cook onions in boiling salted water until tender.

4If frozen onions are used, drain.

5In saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter.

6Blend in flour, salt and pepper.

7Add milk all at once.

8Cook, stirring, until thick and bubbly.

9Reduce heat and blend in cream cheese until smooth.

10Stir in vegetables.

11Place mixture in a 1 1/2-quart casserole and bake for 20 minutes at 350°.

12Melt remaining butter. Toss with bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese and sprinkle over casserole.

13Bake 20 minutes more.
