Broccoli-Rice Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick oleo
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 2 (3 oz.) cans mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 small jar Cheez Whiz (jalapeno)
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, cooked
  • 1 1/2 c. cooked rice
  • 1 can (2.8 oz.) Durkee French fried onions

Directions

    In oleo, saute onions, celery and mushrooms until soft.

    Set aside.

    Heat soup and Cheez Whiz together on low heat.

    Stir occasionally.

    Add cooked rice and broccoli to celery mixture. Then add soup/cheese and seasoning.

    To taste, use Tony Chachere's. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Sprinkle fried onions on top 5 minutes before casserole is done.
