Broccoli Soup

- 1 large white onion
- 2 bags frozen broccoli
- 2 sticks margarine
- 2 pt. half and half
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 c. green onion, chopped
- 1 can chicken broth
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
Directions

1Cook the broccoli 1 hour and drain. Saute onion and margarine until clear and add green onion and chicken broth.

2Cook until boiling. Put cornstarch in small bowl and add a little half and half until cornstarch is blended.

3Add remaining amount of half and half to onion, margarine and chicken broth.

4Add broccoli, cornstarch mixture.

5Season to taste.

6Add thyme and cook until it thickens.
