Broccoli Soup

  • 2 c. chopped celery
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 large head broccoli, chopped
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 3 c. milk
  • 4 to 5 slices American cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Cook celery, onion and broccoli in small amount of water until tender, approximately 10 to 15 minutes.

    Add cream of chicken soup and milk.

    Thicken with flour or cornstarch and small amount of milk to desired consistency.

    Add cheese, butter, salt and pepper. Heat on low until hot.

    Do not boil.
