  • 1 bunch broccoli, cut into spears (about 1 1/2 lb)
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 14 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 13 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • 14 cup pecans, chopped

Directions

    in dutch oven place broccoli spears, add water, cover, bring to a full boil and cook over medium heat until broccoli is crispy tender, then drain.

    in a 1-qt saucepan melt butter, stir in flour and pepper.

    cook over med heat, stirring occasionally until smooth and bubbly.

    stir in milk and cream cheese, continue cooking, stirring until mixture thickens and comes to a full boil.

    stir in cheddar cheese and blue cheese, continue cooking, stirring until cheeses are melted.
