- 4 lb. beef short ribs, cut into serving size pieces
- 2/3 c. ketchup
- 1/4 c. light molasses
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- dash garlic powder
Directions

1Trim excess fat from ribs.

2Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place ribs in a Dutch oven.

3Add water to cover.

4Simmer, covered about 2 hours or until meat is tender.

5Drain.

6Place ribs on an unheated rack in a broiler pan.

7Combine catsup, molasses, lemon juice, mustard, chili powder and garlic powder.

8Brush some over the ribs.

9Broil 4-5 inches from heat for 10-15 minutes, turning often and basting with catsup mixture.

10Makes 6 servings.
