Ingredients

  • Bruna banor Swedish
  • 400 ml dry brown beans
  • 1 1/4 x Lwater
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp. white vinegar or possibly red wine vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. syrup

Directions

    Rinse the beans and soak in the water for 10 to 12 hrs.

    Bring to a boil in the same water the beans have been soaked in add in salt and cook covered for 2 to 2 3/2 hrs.

    Season to taste with vinegar and syrup.

    When a pressure cooker is used reduce the water to 1 liter and cook for 25 to 30 min.
