- 2 c. boiling water
- 1 c. rolled oats
- 3 Tbsp. salad oil
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. yeast in 1/3 c. warm water
- 4 1/2 to 5 c. flour
Directions

1Pour boiling water over oatmeal; cool until lukewarm.

2Add oil, brown sugar and salt.

3Add softened yeast.

4Add 4 to 4 1/2 cups flour and knead, using remaining flour.

5Put into greased bowl; let rise until double.

6Punch down; form into 24 small buns on greased cookie sheet (11 x 16-inch size pan).

7Let rise again. Bake at 375° for about 15 minutes, or at 350° for about 20 minutes, until golden on top.
