- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 small bay leaves or 1 large
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- pinch of allspice
- 1 tsp. sugar
- carrots
- potatoes
- onions
- Bisquick (for dumplings)
Directions

1Brown meat (after coating with flour in bag) in oil.

2Add all ingredients, except vegetables and Bisquick.

3Cook 1 1/2 hours. Add vegetables and cook until potatoes are tender.

4Follow instructions on Bisquick box for dumplings and add to stew.
