Brown Sugar Pound Cake

- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1 (1 lb.) box brown sugar
- 5 large eggs, at room temperature
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. dark rum
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Grease and flour a 12-cup Bundt pan. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together; set aside.

3Beat butter in mixer bowl until light.

4Gradually add sugars and continue beating until very light and fluffy.

5Beat in eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

6Combine milk, rum and vanilla; add to batter alternately with dry ingredients.

7Fold in nuts.

8Pour into prepared pan.

9Bake 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

10Cool 30 minutes.

11Remove from pan.
