  • 2 (10 oz.) jars maraschino cherries with stems
  • cherry liqueur (optional)
  • 4 sq. Baker's unsweetened chocolate
  • 3/4 c. margarine or butter
  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Chocolate Fudge Filling (recipe follows)
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Directions

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Microwave chocolate and margarine in large microwavable bowl on High 2 minutes or until margarine is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.

    Stir granulated sugar into melted chocolate mixture.

    Mix in eggs and vanilla until well blended.

    Stir in flour.

    Fill greased 1 3/4 x 1-inch miniature muffin cups 2/3 full with batter.

    Bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out with fudgy crumbs.

    Do not overbake.

    Cool slightly in muffin pans.

    Loosen edges with tip of knife.

    Make 1/2-inch indentation in top of each brownie.
