  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. sour milk (make sour by adding 1 tsp. vinegar to milk)
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs

    Sift together sugar and flour.

    Bring to a boil the oleo, cocoa and water.

    Add milk, soda and vanilla.

    Add to flour mixture.

    Add eggs and beat.

    Bake in greased and floured jelly roll pan (16 x 11 x 1 1/2-inch) at 400° for 20 minutes.

    While still hot, spread on icing.
