Ingredients

  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 3/4 c. hot water
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa

Directions

    Combine first 9 ingredients. Stir well. Spread batter evenly in an ungreased 11 x 7 x 2-inch baking pan. Combine hot water, brown sugar and 2 tablespoons cocoa.

    Pour mixture over batter. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
