  • 1 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Directions

    Combine butter and cocoa in a large mixing bowl, stirring well. Stir in sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla, and pecans. Spread batter evenly in two greased 9-inch square baking pans.

    Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool and cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.
