  • 1/2 cup butter
  • margarine
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1-1/3 cup icing sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • margarine
  • 1 tbsp. hot water (add more if mixture is too firm)

    In a small saucepan, melt cocoa and butter, stirring as it melts.

    Remove from heat.

    In a medium sized bowl, beat eggs until frothy.

    Add sugar, flour, nuts, and salt.

    Pour the cocoa mixture over the dry ingredients, and stir together.

    Scrape batter into a greased 8x8-inch pan.

    Bake at 350F for 30 minutes, until the edges show signs of pulling away from the sides of the pan.
