- 2 eggs
- 1 sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Beat eggs until thick and frothy;

2beat in sugar.

3Melt chocolate and shortening together over slow heat.

4Add to first mixture.

5Mix together flour, baking powder and salt.

6For better results sift these together.

7Add the flour mixture to the first mixture.

8Stir in vanilla and nuts.

9To prepare the 8 x 12 pan, grease well and line with wax paper.

10Then grease the waxed paper. Spread into pan

11and bake at 325° for 25 minutes.

12Cut into squares and let cool in pan.
