  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter (margarine)
  • 4 sq. baking chocolate
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped
  • scant 1 c. sifted cake flour

Directions

    Melt chocolate and butter together over low heat.

    Separate eggs; set aside whites and beat egg yolks well.
  3. 3
    Add sugar slowly to eggs, then add to chocolate mixture which has cooled slightly. Add nuts and flour.

    Beat egg whites to a stiff froth and add last. Bake in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch cake pan at 335° for 40 minutes.

    Do not overbake!

    These are moist and chewy brownies; freeze beautifully.
