Ingredients

  • 4 c. cubed white French bread
  • 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 4 1/2 oz. can sliced mushrooms
  • 10 eggs, beaten
  • 4 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 8 to 10 slices bacon, fried and crumbled

    Grease 13 x 9-inch pan.

    Place bread cubes on bottom.

    Layer cheese, onion, pepper and mushrooms on bread.

    Combine the rest of ingredients (except bacon).

    Cover.

    Refrigerate overnight. Remove cover.

    Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes.
