Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sausage, cooked but not dry, drain fat
  • 1/2 c. sharp cheese, grated
  • 8 slices white bread, crusts trimmed
  • 3 to 4 eggs
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • dash of pepper

Directions

    Grease a 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish. Place bread as a liner in bottom of dish.

    Sprinkle on cheese, then sausage.

    Mix together eggs, milk, salt, mustard and pepper. Pour egg mixture over the bread, sausage and cheese.

    Chill overnight.

    Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.

    Serve hot.
