Ingredients
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. bacon fat
- 1 (2 1/2 lb.) frying chicken
- salt and pepper
- 3 c. water
- 1 large can tomatoes
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 can butter beans
- 1/4 c. okra
- 2 cans whole grain corn
- 2 Tbsp. oleo
- 1/4 c. bread crumbs
Directions

1Brown onion in bacon fat.

2Cut chicken into serving pieces. Season and fry in bacon grease.

3Pour off fat and place chicken and onion in heavy kettle.

4Add water, tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce.

5Cook slowly over low heat for 1/2 hour.

6Add lima beans, okra and corn.

7Simmer for 1 hour.

8Add oleo and crumbs; cook 1/2 hour longer.

9Makes 6 servings.
