Ingredients

  • 1 stewing chicken, cut up
  • water
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1/2 lb. boneless beef, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 2 c. tomatoes
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. lima beans
  • 3 medium raw potatoes, diced
  • 1 1/2 c. whole kernel corn
  • seasoned salt
  • pepper
  • all-purpose flour

Directions

    Boil chicken in 4 cups water until tender.

    Cool and remove bones, saving the broth.

    Cut into bite size pieces.

    Dice and fry bacon; remove from skillet and brown beef and onion in the pan. Add bacon, chicken broth, salt, paprika and tomatoes.

    Simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

    Add remaining vegetables and chicken and simmer for another 30 minutes.

    Thicken with flour and add seasoning.
