  • 16 fresh ripe plum tomatoes, very finely diced
  • 4 Tbsp. finely minced garlic
  • 1 c. coarsely chopped fresh basil
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped Italian parley
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • pinch crushed red pepper flakes
  • salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 32 (1/4-inch thick) slices French or Italian Baguette
  • 6 garlic cloves, cut in half

Directions

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the tomatoes, minced garlic, basil, parsley, lemon juice, red pepper flakes and salt and pepper to taste.

    Toss very well; set aside for at least 3 hours.
