Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 2 tsp. anise seed
  • 1/2 c. glazed fruit
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. brandy extract
  • 2 tsp. rum extract
  • 2 Tbsp. Anisette Liqueur

Directions

    In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar.

    When thoroughly blended, add milk and eggs; mix well and add flour and baking powder.

    Add raisins, anise seed, glazed fruit, vanilla, brandy and rum extracts and Anisette. Mix well and shape as desired. Decorate top with walnut halves, if desired.

    Bake in 400° oven for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 350° and bake for about 50 minutes.
